Face-to-Face - Certificate
This track introduces breakthrough concepts that can help to identify, capture, and deliver on great ideas and to successfully drive innovation throughout the organization. Participants learn new strategic approaches and tools for managing products, technology, and innovation, as well as for discovering new sources of profitability.
MIT Sloan School of Management is world-renowned for the development and advancement of strategic and innovative management methods and practices. That's why we continually reevaluate and enrich our program material to address the most critical business issues in the area of strategic innovation.
For example, this year, we are offering two innovative new programs: Building Game-Changing Organizations: Aligning Purpose, Performance, and People and Platform Strategy: Building and Thriving in a Vibrant Ecosystem. Participants in Building Game-Changing Organizations: Aligning Purpose, Performance, and People will learn what it takes to build game-changing organizations that make their teams and areas of responsibility world-class talent factories. They will also discuss the importance of building an innovative company culture, and learn from the successes and challenges of various companies that have been on similar journeys of transformation.
Over the past two decades, some of the most profitable and successful firms are those that have adopted a digital platform model--a strategy whereby the company allows two or more disparate groups to interact over a platform to co-create value; for example, website developers and users on Akamai, recruiters and employees on LinkedIn, and drivers and customers on Uber. In Platform Strategy: Building and Thriving in a Vibrant Ecosystem, participants eager to develop or launch a digital platform approach will learn why and how their business strategies may need to be revised to be successful.
To earn an MIT Sloan Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation, participants must choose three programs from the list below, plus a fourth program from any of the three tracks.
