Ohio University

Founded more than 200 years ago, Ohio University is the oldest public institution of higher learning in the state of Ohio and the first in the Northwest Territory. Students of Ohio University benefit from all the resources and advantages associated with a top-ranked university and still receive the personal attention and consideration that is vital to higher education with a student to faculty ratio of only 18:1 and an average class size of 24 students.

Ohio University has been engaging in lifelong and distance learning practices for over 100 years. Its Lifelong and Distance Learning department has used that time to progress within the field and develop state-of-the-art programs that offer specific support resources to students and equip them with highly valuable skills and competencies that are important to today’s employers.

Ohio University has been recognized for academic quality and value by publications such as U.S. News and World Report, Princeton Review’s Best Colleges, and Peterson’s Guide to Competitive Colleges. The university holds a position as one of the top character-building institutions in the nation according to the John Templeton Foundation and currently ranks first in the state of Ohio for nationally competitive awards won by students.
