CSU Long Beach Extension

The College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) is one of the eight academic colleges at California State University, Long Beach. It is a self-support, interdisciplinary college that works closely with its university, business, community, and international partners to serve California’s workforce and economy. CCPE provides expanded access to CSULB’s exceptional academic programs and educational resources. We offer a diverse range of degrees, professional development certificates, and international education programs in many disciplines. We create opportunities for our students to study abroad, and bring students from around the globe to CSULB.

The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts (BALA) degree completion program is designed to serve the needs of working professionals who are re-entering education. The program provides opportunities for networking and assists students in acquiring skills and knowledge in communication, critical thinking, language and literature, analytical and scientific reasoning, quantitative analysis, and philosophical foundations. Classes will be taught at the CSULB campus on Wednesday evenings and alternate Saturdays.

The CalTPA Resubmission Courses are non-credit courses that provide support for CSULB Multiple and Single Subject Credential students who need multiple opportunities to submit a CalTPA Task. These courses are the only way students who have not submitted a Task during the appropriate course or who have not passed a Task can submit or re-submit their work. Students must register for the appropriate resubmission course(s) in order to re-submit their CalTPA Task(s).
